Crap

Beta 13.14
Progesterone 19.19

Here's what the nurse said:

"The quant is low which this early we would anticipate. We will have you go back in 48 hrs to have it repeated, it should approximately double. We will probably have you have one more after that.

The progesterone is fine."

Anyone else think she's talking through her ass? This is almost exactly where I was for my last 2 miscarriages. And "this early?" I am 14 dpo. Not really early.

I'm still not having a bad feeling about it (weird?), but I'm obviously a bit discouraged. If you are the praying type, I'd really appreciate a few words being sent up on our behalf.

Thanks.

Hey girl. Make sure to try and reinforce positive thoughts-

My numbers will double.
I can carry a baby.
We received a positive test.
I am strong.

Anything over 10 is positive- keep that in mind. Say positive things that this embryo needs to attach. And I'll send more prayers that way for you.

We're here for you, Meim!

hey there,

I'm right with you (my beta was 17) and am slightly freaked out too. I don't have any wise words, except, stay strong. I'm generally not the praying type but I am praying for both of us right now.

And I love Ashley's mantra. I will keep repeating it.

Ugh...beta hell. It's the worst. I am still hopeful for a positive outcome - the doubling is more important than anything else - perhaps it was a late implanter?

I had a low beta after IVF #5 and had many people write in with positive stories...here's the link if you want to go to the comments for a morale booster (http://lifeandloveinthepetridish.blogspot.com/2009/05/more-news.html). It didn't end up working out for me that cycle, but based on the comments, many have a low beta and things turn out ok.

thinking of you and wishing for you.

Here from LFCA: I'm a little hesitant to do this since I don't want to blow sunshine up your hoo-hoo, but my beta was 34 at 16 dpo, and I have an 8 month old daughter.

Ugh beta hell, it sucks arse big time.

I hope they double, doubling is more important at this stage, it could have implated late as per Mo's post.

It's totally possible. Just believe in it unless and until someone tells you otherwise. Hey, a few days of bliss beats the suckage of worrying about which way it will go. Best of luck to you!

Yes, the "fun" taffy pull of beta lotto . . .

Sorry, wish I had some wise words or at least something that helped you feel a little stronger and at peace while you wait this out. I guess I would just say that at times like this - I just went with what I knew, that for the moment I was pg again and that one thing gave me some measure of joy.

Here - abiding - and hoping for all good things.
